The National Science Foundation (NSF) Center for Pandemic Insights in the One Health Institute in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis is seeking a postdoctoral researcher interested in ecological and environmental drivers of zoonotic virus emergence, transmission and circulation and the development of innovative technology and approaches for transdisciplinary pandemic research. Primary responsibilities relate to informing mechanistic models of virus emergence, characterizing community composition and host ecology at high-risk animal-human interfaces, and developing dynamic models of spillover in complex environments to better understand the pre-emergence phase of pandemics.
