Submit Samples

General guidelines for how to submit samples can be found below. Our Testing List describes in detail how to submit samples and explains our testing fees. Please note that fees are subject to change annually. Contact the lab for bulk testing or research project costs.

Basic Instructions 

  1. Submit samples using the Protozoal Serology Submission Form
  2. Email forms to [email protected] and cc [email protected]
  3. Include a printed copy of the submission form in shipping package
Fees

Fees for services constitute the chief source of funds for the purchase of supplies and materials that are essential for the operation of the laboratory. They are determined by the university and are subject to change annually.

Sample submissions

All samples must be submitted with a complete sample submission form emailed to the lab and included in the package. Missing information will cause a delay in the processing of your samples, especially species, sample type, pertinent sample collection information and billing contact. An additional processing fee with be added for submissions where no electronic form is emailed since this digital form is critical for receiving results.

Results

Results will be provided after each sample, or batch has been processed and analyzed. Your email address should be included on the sample submission form, and the form should be emailed to the lab at time of shipping for timely return of results.

Turnaround time

Turnaround for most existing tests will be 1-2 weeks or less. Identification of novel disease agents or development of new assays may require longer turn-around time. 

Invoicing

Each sample batch will be invoiced individually to the based on the information provided with the submitted samples and upon the return of the results. On the submission form please provide the billing contact email and any PO number that needs to be referenced for invoicing.
