Position Title
Graduate Student Researcher
As a PhD candidate in Integrative Pathobiology, Brooke Genovese focuses on solving global health problems, especially those concerned with emerging infectious diseases at the human-animal interface as well as wildlife health and conservation. Her research is centered on the immunology and ecology of high-consequence viral pathogens in wildlife, specifically bats and non-human primates, and the research and development of new computational techniques for studying wildlife species. Brooke’s research also contributes to the development of new countermeasures for pandemic preparedness.
Brooke is an ARCS Foundation Scholar and UCD Wildlife Health Center Fellow. She obtained her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
