Director - Gorilla Doctors

The Director of Gorilla Doctors (GD) is responsible for the overall management, leadership and directing of activities for Gorilla Doctors in its entirety, including strategic planning, budgeting, management, fundraising, Board relations, partner relations, human resources and research. The Director will manage a $2.5 – 3.0 M/year operating budget derived from grants, contracts and private sector support; supervise senior management staff; help establish research priorities and conduct research; draft and finalize organization-wide policy; develop and maintain partnerships and cooperative agreements; cultivate and steward donors; facilitate Board meetings and operations; evaluate staff performance and address shortfalls; and manage outside contracts. As well, the Director is expected to represent GD, the Karen C Drayer Wildlife Health Center (KCDWHC), the One Health Institute (OHI), and School of Veterinary Medicine at the state, federal, and international level.

Associate Director - Operations

The Associate Director of Operations keeps the Oiled Wildlife Care Network running smoothly and ready to respond. Based at UC Davis, this role oversees day-to-day management of the OWCN headquarters team, coordinating expertise in animal health, field operations, and logistics. Working closely with the Director and Associate Director of Network Management, this position supports and coordinates planning, preparedness, and deployment efforts that enable California’s world-class oiled wildlife response.

Associate Director - Network Management

The Associate Director of Network Management plays a key leadership role in keeping the Oiled Wildlife Care Network’s 40+ member organizations ready to respond when wildlife need us most. This position builds and strengthens partnerships across California’s zoos, aquariums, and wildlife centers; leads training and engagement efforts; and ensures the Network’s readiness through outreach, evaluation, and coordination. During oil spill responses, this role helps launch and lead response operations, working closely with OWCN leadership to protect wildlife and ecosystems.
