Graduate Student
Ariel Loredo is a graduate from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a small animal emergency and critical care rotating internship. And then returned to UC Davis SVM to complete the Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine. Following this program, she started the PhD in Wildlife Epidemiology under the mentorship of Dr. Woutrina Smith and Dr. Brian Bird. She currently studies disease and wildlife population dynamics in the northern Sierra Nevada mountains with a specific focus on water borne organisms and wet meadow recovery & Sin nombre hantavirus dynamics in small mammal populations recovery following wildfire.
