- EpiCenter Program Officer, One Health Institute
Nicole is a Program Officer for the EpiCenter for Disease Dynamics at the One Health Institute. In this role, she coordinates activities and partners across multiple international and interdisciplinary zoonotic disease research projects, including the EpiCenter for Emerging Infectious Disease Intelligence (NIH CREID Network) and the Pathogen Plasticity Project (NSF). Nicole received her B.S. in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and B.A. in Psychology from the University of California San Diego, and her M.S. in Biology from the University of Nebraska Kearney. Her career pursuits have mixed research coordination with laboratory and field activities, which have allowed her to work with a variety of wildlife (small mammals, birds, amphibians, fish) in natural and managed settings and fostered a passion for work that promotes wildlife conservation and public health.
