Bio

Nistara is a project scientist at the One Health Institute. Her research entails network modeling of disease epidemics, spatial analyses of viruses in bats, and GPS tracking of bats in Tanzania as part of the PREDICT and VISHA projects. She studied the effects of organochlorines on California sea lions while attaining her MPVM at UC Davis. Nistara has a special interest in R programming, and is an affiliate of the UC Davis Data Science Initiative and the R Epidemics Consortium.
