STAR UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine student Maya Iyer is lead author on a new BioOne publication about novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods used to manage severe Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus 1A Hemorrhagic Disease (EEHV-HD) in a captive Asian elephant. Maya was mentored by OHI Research Faculty Dr. Tierra Evans.
This project is in collaboration with Houston Zoo and Baylor College of Medicine.
